Never Give Up !!

Life is not tough for people who never give up. I always believe in that and recently i came across a person who proved that true for me.

I generally fuel gas for my car at Shell Station. this time i went to the one on mysore road (next to kwality biscuits), as usual parked at the designated # and waited for someone to attend. All of a sudden a guy comes running to me with a board and a marker. When i took the board onto my hand got to know that he was dumb/deaf so the board in my hand, in which i need to make a few ticks and he does the job for me. I was really surprised to see him do him job as anyone who would speak/hear do it. Now that reminded me that way back in my engg. days there was a shop next to my hostel which was run by two deaf/dumb guys, and because of my frequent interaction with them i had picked up the sign language. I know all the alphabets which means i can constructs letters/words, so i asked him what was his name and he was surprised to know that i also knew the sign language and he asked me whether i was dumb/deaf ( for a moment i thought to myself that yes i am dumb/deaf to many things happening i this world haha) i said no but i had a friend from whom i had learnt it. He was very happy and equally i was also to know that he had never given up in his life and was equally competent in this world !!!! He said his name was Mallesh and requested him that can i click a photograph so that i can upload it on my blog and he was all smiles !!! ( below is his photograph)
Way to go Mallesh !!!!

My Aunt has under gone the Total Knee Replacement(TKR) surgery and slowly she is recovering and the best part is that she is feeling that the surgery has helped her a lot. She got operated at Hosmat Hospital and Dr. Prabhu C.N. did the surgery. He is a young and energetic doctor and till date he has performed more that 1500 surgeries for TKR. So over the last week was busy shuttling to work/hospital/home.

Below is unique photograph of me and my brother in our young ages and my little one as well as his.

Finally after all the research and looking at my budget and lot of other constraints i have decided that in Y07 if i go for another car then that's gonna be AVEO from GM. Always i have been a fan of GM vehicles, be it watching the Hollywood movies where the hero drives a GM vehicle or anything else.... in fact my dad drives a OPEL which is again from GM and i feel its the most sturdy vehicle which i have seen till date.

Recently there are lot of plans being chalked out for greater Bangalore, everything looks good and if implemented upto atleast 75% i am sure most of the folks who are out of Bangalore(especially out of country) would always love to come back.

YI.................................India Poised !!!

Okay now if the above heading confused you, then i am sorry about that !!!

YI and India Poised are two different things which i feel great about.

YI literally means Yelli Idiyya ?(Where are you ?), this will be a new service which the BMTC in bangalore is planning to start for there cherry-red fleet of buses(i have written more about these cherry-red buses in bangalore earlier), btw this will be an SMS service, where in you send the an SMS something like "Y I " to a specific number and you get back a message which tells you where exactly the bus is currently. So when you are just out of bed send an SMS and get to know where the bus is and depending on the reply you can either hurry-up or get ready leisurely to catch the bus to work, this is gonna work perfectly since all these buses are fitted with GPS. thats cool right - WoW Moment !!!

Recently soon after the new year there was a survey conducted from TOI, out of all the questions two which i liked more are 1. Are you lucky to be born as an Indian ?- 94% said yes, 6% said no(i don't know why they said that).
2. If given a change will you migrate to a different Nation ? - I dont remember the exact numbers but majority of the percentage was a big NO. Also i read about a vegetable vendor in new delhi who had brought a mobile for himself say three years ago, and you know what ? his business has changed drastically over the period, now vegetables is just a ring away, you call him and let him know what vegetables you require and they are delivered at your door step(i feel thats the power of innovation !!!). I always feel that india has the power only things its lacking is the fire to be light.

I dont know how many of you read the swaminomics on TOI its just amazing, and its on sundays so you can leasiurely read it. So for the start of new year he has written something which is very good. When Jamsetji Tata first proposed to manufacture steel a century ago, Sir Frederick Upcott, head of the Railways, was so unworthy that he undertook to eat every ounce of steel that Tata could produce, and one century later Tata Steel is set to take over the whole British steel industry (which is part of Corus), Upcott must be turning in his grave, that the empire has struck back with a vengeance. Also considering the lakshmi mittal's success, the indian managers (especially in the steel industry) as being superior to American and European ones. You never know, when there is a day( may be it will take decades but ...) - ICICI Bank takes over Citibank.
- Infosys acquires IBM.
- Tata Motors takes over General Motors.
- Times of India takes over The New York Times.

The world now believes that Indians are excellent managers, better than those in several American/Eurpean countries. - Again a Wow Moment !!!
(most of the above are extracts from Swaminomics)

My Badge is as above -
India Poised is a new initiative started by the Times group which i feel is very good theme to light the fire of all the indians, but how long its gonna take us we need to wait and watch. ( I have added the links in my page for your convenience).

When i was a high school going kid, to my knowledge only brand of jeans that was available in india(or to my knowledge in bangalore), was

1. Hara Jeans.

2. North Start Jeans/Jackets.

To own either of the above you need to be No.1 at studies in class as least for two consecutive tests in the whole year, and you get one it can be worn only during any special occasions, but today the world has changed a lot over the decades i get almost every brand of jeans in india and which is manufactured in India( that means more employment over here...)

Today for my little one i can shop from mothercare( a famous chain of shop for kids in the UK) i dont know if one day some indian chain buys the business unit, and people in UK talk that these clothes are imported from India. - And Again a Wow Moment !!

So today my loved one was able to finish of all the tax saving investments(since march is nearing), sitting at home using the technology. - Again a Wow Moment !!!

My cute little one has started playing with everything except toys, her latest toys recently has been the empty plastic bottle, old card-boards, books, telephone directory, newspaper(tear the sheets and enjoy doing it again and again), floppy disks, CD's blah blah.... and if u take them away from here she is gonna surely kill you ;-). She has started to walk and its fun watching her walk, she's afraid that she might fall and she rushes to reach her destination(may be the wall or the nearest support as quickly as possible) i shall record that sometime and putup. If we go out then she want to walk everywhere, we had been to a mall over the weekend and she enjoyed walking everywhere and as soon as she gets tired she tries to crawl......

You might be wondering why i put "Wow Moment !!!" at most of the places, well Microsoft is conducting a Wow moment survey or some kinda of where in you can upload and get to win yourself a Windows Vista Software. I feel most of the indians if they start then everyone will have one genuine copy if MS.

2007 has been kicked off in a great way, with lot of inspiration and hopes how far we are gonna live it up !! i dont know ;-)
This is the day "The King of Rock'n' Roll" Elvis was born.(8th Jan)
